Gyles Brandreth hosts a day of insight and discovery at Bridlington Spa; with business networking at its heart. He will take his place amongst the growing alumni of celebrity hosts of the event; Naga Munchetty last year and Alexander Armstrong in 2017. Headline speaker will be Lord Sugar; most famous for his role leading BBC TV's The Apprentice, founded the hugely successful electronics company, Amstrad, in 1968 and served as chairman of Tottenham Hotspur between 1991 and 2001. Lord Sugar will host a question and answer session with the audience at The Business Day thus creating a unique and interactive element to the day which honours the event's promise to provide delegates with a day of discovery and insight. Also speaking at The Business Day will be Professor Juergen Maier CBE, FREng, FIET, was appointed Chief Executive of Siemens UK in July 2014. He has been a member of the Siemens UK Executive Board since 2008. Mr Maier is a passionate advocate of rebalancing the UK economy and has supported many UK wide initiatives championing manufacturing, improved infrastructure and engineering skills. He also serves on the Industrial Strategy Council which advises the Government on Industrial Strategy. Juergen argues for the modern re-industrialisation of the North of England and is a board member of both the Greater Manchester LEP and the Northern Powerhouse Partnership. Tier-Two Tickets have been made available due to unprecedented demand. These tickets, priced at £85 each, give access the same full dy of tailored activity with the exception of theatre activity; which will be viewed by video feed on the Royal Hall giant screen.
